Australian Standards

  • DPI staff can view or download any Australian Standard via Accuris Engineering Workbench.

  • You will need to register an account using your DPI email address, which will receive a confirmation code. Once you receive the code, enter it to set up your password.

  • If you are a regular user of Standards, please contact RIS staff to request access to Single Sign On (which will save you logging in each visit).

  • To find standards, use the search box. Ensure that you are using the preset search 'Current Subscriptions' as shown above.

  • To protect the copyright of Standards, all documents are secured using FileOpen software. You must install the FileOpen plugin from the ITP Software Centre. Refer to instructions below.

  • The secure PDF can only be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader that has the FileOpen plugin installed. Forwarding and copying are disabled. Files expire after 30 days.

  • You can choose to view the document online without installing FileOpen if you don't need to download a copy. You can only view during the browser session and will not have the option to print or save.

PLEASE NOTE

This subscription has a limited number of concurrent users. Please ensure you close any documents after use.

International Standards

We do not have subscription access to International Standards. There are two options to access ISO's:

  1. Find an Australian equivalent
You can still search Engineering Workbench for ISO numbers (include the prefix 'ISO'). You will then find Australian standards that adopt the ISO. Refer to the 'About this document' note at the bottom of the page as it will specifically state which ISO has been adopted. The Standard will also include a statement similar to "This Standard is identical with, and has been reproduced from ISO...". Take care to note the year of the ISO being adopted. It may be that the Australian version has not yet updated to the most current ISO version as there will be a delay.

  2. Purchase your own International Standard
If there isn't an Australian equivalent, you may need to fund the purchase of the International Standard from your cost collector. Please submit a request form and we will supply options and pricing information.
